Madison Burgess-Smith is a passionate advocate, thoughtful strategist, and committed changemaker. She has an experienced background in policy and advocacy and is currently a Senior Consultant at Iron Duke Partners, a leading government relations and public policy firm.
Her work is at the interface of business strategy and public policy, working with a range of organisations to create enduring change in Aotearoa. She has led several successful public campaigns and developed strategic initiatives that have influenced significant policy outcomes.
Madison’s career reflects her dedication to strengthening communities and creating pathways for progress. She holds several community development and sporting directorships, where she is particularly devoted to increasing inclusivity and opportunity, especially for young women and girls. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University of Wellington and is a proud Aro Valley resident.
She is a regular political and policy commentator, with a natural talent for distilling complex concepts into relatable insights. Outside work, Madison is a valedictorian, club champion golfer, and avid adventurer, having trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp.
