On behalf of the Wellington Community Fund Board, I would like to share some important news. Linn Araboglos has made the decision to step down as CEO of Wellington Community Fund, with her last day in the role being 4 September 2025.
Linn has served as CEO since April 2020, and over the past five years has successfully worked alongside the team and trustees to achieve many significant things. These include supporting our community organisations through a pandemic and streamlining our application and selection processes, developing and implementing a bold new strategy focused on equity, establishing He Rau Aroha and overseeing strengthened relationships with mana whenua, taura here and Māori-led organisations, embedding ethical investment practices, establishing the funders commitment on climate action, to name just a few.
We are very grateful for her dedication, commitment, and the contributions made during Linn’s tenure. We are also proud of her leadership, advocacy and achievements in the funding and philanthropic sector.
While we will miss working with Linn in this capacity, we know that she leaves the organisation in an excellent state and we are excited to see what is next for her.
The Board is actively working on a considered, smooth transition to replace Linn. We will be commencing a recruitment process very soon.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Nga mihi nui, warm regards
Ms Mele Wendt, MNZM
Chair, Wellington Community Fund
